Mr. Yezdi Pavri retired as Vice Chairman of Deloitte Canada in June 2012, after a distinguished career of more than 30 years. Prior to being named as Vice Chairman in 2010, Mr. Pavri was a member of the firm’s national Client Council and the Managing Partner of the Toronto practice from 2004 until 2010. He built and led Deloitte’s national Risk Advisory practice from 1990 until 2004 and was a founding member of the global firm’s India Steering Committee.


Mr. Pavri serves on the Board of Ontario Power Generation and has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of United Way Toronto and The Canada-India Business Council. He has also served on the Boards of MD Financial, Hydro One and Golder Associates.


Mr. Pavri obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1972 and a Master’s degree in Thermal Power Engineering from Imperial College in London in 1974. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
