Mr. Atul Arora

Mr. Atul Arora is a member of ICICI Bank Canada’s Board of Directors and the Bank’s Audit, Risk and Conduct Review Committees. He is also serving as a member of the Committee of Executives, the Retail Credit Forum, the Customer Service Council and the Profitability Forum of ICICI Bank Limited.

He is a key member of the Leadership Team of ICICI Bank Limited, currently responsible for Retail Assets, Business Banking, Loan against Shares, Rural Assets and Priority Sector Lending for the Bank. He provides strategic direction to the teams with an objective to increase market share on a strong bedrock of compliance to regulatory standards, customer service & operational excellence. He has helped to build business relationships and provide superior end-to-end solutions to customers while leading collaboration with various cross functional teams to deepen relationships and provide 360 degree banking services.

In his prior experience with ICICI Bank, he has worked across many spheres including Business Head - North & East 1, Zonal Head for Unsecured Loans, Business Head for Retail Cross-Selling, Group Head for Debt Service Management, and Head of Financial Inclusion & Group Product Head for Rural & Inclusive Banking. Some of the key projects led by him include creating a performance based central allocation logic for debt servicing which won many industry awards, setting up the first legal processing unit for debt servicing, creation of algorithm & channels for debt servicing through SMS, IVR, voice call & field collection, launching Mera iMobile, which was the first banking app to offer integrated value added services in vernacular languages etc. He was also instrumental in designing small value FD/RD product, account opening on e-KYC platform, remittance of government subsidy directly into beneficiary accounts and developing inter-operable transaction at micro-ATMs along with setting up of ICICI Digital Villages which had a huge socio economic impact in its catchment through multi-faceted initiatives across skill development, livelihood generation etc.

A diploma holder in automobile engineering from the Board of Technical Education in 1987, Mr. Arora has a rich experience of over 30 years’ career across automotive, insurance & banking industries. He started his journey with ICICI Group in 2005 and has worked across multiple roles – leading both the liability & assets sides of the Bank’s business. He has made critical contributions across various roles & domains setting various new milestones.
