What is Money to India?

Money to India allows ICICI Bank Canada account holders to send funds to any ICICI Bank account or IMPS/NEFT/RTGS-enabled banks in India quickly, securely and conveniently.

How can I transfer money online?

To transfer money online, log in to your account on the ICICI Bank Canada website and

Step 1: Add a New Receiver:

  • Enter the receiver's personal and bank details online
  • Submit details and receive OTP on the registered mobile number
  • If your mobile is not registered, call the 24-hour Customer Contact Centre
  • The beneficiary will be registered within 24 hours

Step 2: Send Money:

  • Click ‘Send Money’ once the beneficiary is registered
  • Enter the required transfer details
  • Confirm the request to complete the transfer
  • Send money anytime after registration

What are the fees and limits?

A fee of CAD 5 is charged per online transfer. You can send up to CAD 9,000 within 24 hours and up to INR 200,000 per IMPS transfer. Larger amounts go via NEFT/RTGS.

Receiver information required

To add a new receiver, you need their full name as per bank records, complete address, phone number, occupation and bank details, including bank name, branch details and account number.

 

 

* Money transfers to recipient bank accounts that are not held with ICICI Bank Limited in India, will only be credited instantaneously if such recipient’s bank accounts are enabled for immediate payment services (IMPS). If they are not registered for IMPS, money transfers will be processed via National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) or Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS). NEFT/RTGS transfers may take up to 48 business hours to process. All money transfers to India are subject to limits and restrictions imposed by IMPS and NEFT/RTGS, as applicable.
